iPadpalooza is a three-day event held at Westlake High School in Austin, TX.  This learning festival is a celebration of the cultural-shift the iPads have brought about in education and the world.  This event will focus on creativity, social collaboration, engagement and the compelling ways schools have integrated iPads into their classrooms.  This year we will also premiere our “iLead Academy” which will take place on June 17th (8:30-4:00) and is focused on helping campus and district leadership thrive in a mobile learning environment.

The festival will start on the evening of June 17th at 6:30pm (registration opens at 4:00pm) and end on June 19th and will feature amazing speakers from all over the world, lots of live music and of course, food trailers. Please note there will be limited seating to this event and the iLead Academy.

iPadpalooza…It’s not a conference, it’s a learning festival!

Classroom management with iPads is the one area teachers ask about most frequently. It doesn’t have to be hard, but some things must change a bit when mobile devices enter the classroom. We’ll share teachers’ and administrators’ tried and true tips for classrooms that work beautifully, starting with how to appreciate what currently works well and incorporating that into the classroom using iPads.
In addition, we will discuss examples of the most successful deployments and how they differ from the not-so-successful deployments.
Presenters will include a link to free resources (samples of classroom norms, campus expectations, district documentation and tips for using Apple’s Configurator) discussed in the session. Whether the campus has 1:1 iPads or 1 iPad in a classroom center, administrators and teachers will hear what works and the “What Not to Do” list from three years of iPad deployment.
