iPadpalooza is a three-day event held at Westlake High School in Austin, TX.  This learning festival is a celebration of the cultural-shift the iPads have brought about in education and the world.  This event will focus on creativity, social collaboration, engagement and the compelling ways schools have integrated iPads into their classrooms.  This year we will also premiere our “iLead Academy” which will take place on June 17th (8:30-4:00) and is focused on helping campus and district leadership thrive in a mobile learning environment.

The festival will start on the evening of June 17th at 6:30pm (registration opens at 4:00pm) and end on June 19th and will feature amazing speakers from all over the world, lots of live music and of course, food trailers. Please note there will be limited seating to this event and the iLead Academy.

iPadpalooza…It’s not a conference, it’s a learning festival!

Would you like to create stunning, dynamic apps that are customized to your individual classroom and/or school district without having to go back to school for a computer science degree? The solution: Buzztouch.com. It is a solution that will allow you to develop an app that is be able to have new classroom or school content added quickly and easily, without the 3-5 day waiting period for an app update. But most importantly, it is a mobile development platform that will allow you (as a busy education professional with many other responsibilities and time constrictions that come with being an educator) to develop an app quickly, without an extensive knowledge of coding, and without investment in university courses in software engineering.

This will be a working session in which we will create a basic, functioning app which you can modify. When we finish this section you will have a simple, functioning app that will run on the iOS Simulator on your Mac which you can then modify, add to, and change as much as you would like to further learn app development.

NOTE: Attendees of this session should have a Mac with Xcode 5 downloaded and have signed up for a Guest or Member account of Buzztouch.com so that each person can participate fully and start developing their app in the session. Attendees will given access to an iTunes U course complete with screen casts of this process for further review at a later time.
