iPadpalooza 2014 has ended

iPadpalooza is a three-day event held at Westlake High School in Austin, TX.  This learning festival is a celebration of the cultural-shift the iPads have brought about in education and the world.  This event will focus on creativity, social collaboration, engagement and the compelling ways schools have integrated iPads into their classrooms.  This year we will also premiere our “iLead Academy” which will take place on June 17th (8:30-4:00) and is focused on helping campus and district leadership thrive in a mobile learning environment.

The festival will start on the evening of June 17th at 6:30pm (registration opens at 4:00pm) and end on June 19th and will feature amazing speakers from all over the world, lots of live music and of course, food trailers. Please note there will be limited seating to this event and the iLead Academy.

iPadpalooza…It’s not a conference, it’s a learning festival!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Participants of the session will learn how to create and manage a global project. They will also learn how to create a global collaboration group within Edmodo. Teachers and students participating in the global project will engage in discussions with others during the project about their country, school, hobbies, favorite activities, etc. During the session participants will learn how to create small groups where students will be able to post, share, and collaborate. Having a global project will allow students to learn to respect and appreciate the opinions, cultures and customs of others. Students will be able to see the differences and similarities between themselves and others around the world. Teachers and students will use Edmodo to communicate with the others in their group. Edmodo is a social network that allows students and teachers to create groups that are closed to the public, which will allow for private but global collaboration. Participants of the session will learn how to create folders within Edmodo and import resources needed for their global project.
