iPadpalooza 2014 has ended

iPadpalooza is a three-day event held at Westlake High School in Austin, TX.  This learning festival is a celebration of the cultural-shift the iPads have brought about in education and the world.  This event will focus on creativity, social collaboration, engagement and the compelling ways schools have integrated iPads into their classrooms.  This year we will also premiere our “iLead Academy” which will take place on June 17th (8:30-4:00) and is focused on helping campus and district leadership thrive in a mobile learning environment.

The festival will start on the evening of June 17th at 6:30pm (registration opens at 4:00pm) and end on June 19th and will feature amazing speakers from all over the world, lots of live music and of course, food trailers. Please note there will be limited seating to this event and the iLead Academy.

iPadpalooza…It’s not a conference, it’s a learning festival!

Jefferson County Public Schools
Educational Technology Specialist
Golden, CO
I have 16 years of experience in education and I currently work for Jefferson County Public Schools in Golden, CO. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education, a Masters in Education Administration, and finished the coursework for a Masters in Deaf education. I was a classroom teacher for 14 year, teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th grades in two states. I am currently an Educational Technology Specialist, and my primary role is helping teachers and building leadership plan for and integrate technology. I am the project manager for the largest 1:1 iPad implementation in Colorado called Jefferson IMPACT. This project is a comprehensive K-12 reform initiative that created a 1:1 iPad environment in 6 schools with over 3,200 students and 300 teachers. We are partnering closely with the Colorado Department of Education, as they are incredibly interested in the outcomes of this project and how it can help create a path to full technology integration in all schools across the state.
