iPadpalooza 2014 has ended

iPadpalooza is a three-day event held at Westlake High School in Austin, TX.  This learning festival is a celebration of the cultural-shift the iPads have brought about in education and the world.  This event will focus on creativity, social collaboration, engagement and the compelling ways schools have integrated iPads into their classrooms.  This year we will also premiere our “iLead Academy” which will take place on June 17th (8:30-4:00) and is focused on helping campus and district leadership thrive in a mobile learning environment.

The festival will start on the evening of June 17th at 6:30pm (registration opens at 4:00pm) and end on June 19th and will feature amazing speakers from all over the world, lots of live music and of course, food trailers. Please note there will be limited seating to this event and the iLead Academy.

Matthew Patty

Matthew Patty is an innovative math teacher who is leading an iPad exclusive online geometry pilot for Northside ISD in San Antonio Texas. He most recently presented at the Texas Association of School Administrators Midwinter Conference on the unique advantages of his position. Before coming to Northside, Matthew worked with Northeast ISD in San Antonio for two years. During his second year of teaching, He was one of 12 finalists for the San Antonio Math and Science Education Coalition Excellence in Education Teacher of the Year Award. Matthew holds a BA in Mathematics, and a MA in Teaching both from Trinity University, and is currently taking classes to earn a MS in Mathematics from UTSA. Matthew has seen first hand how powerful technology can be in our education, and advocates for it in any setting.
