iPadpalooza is a three-day event held at Westlake High School in Austin, TX.  This learning festival is a celebration of the cultural-shift the iPads have brought about in education and the world.  This event will focus on creativity, social collaboration, engagement and the compelling ways schools have integrated iPads into their classrooms.  This year we will also premiere our “iLead Academy” which will take place on June 17th (8:30-4:00) and is focused on helping campus and district leadership thrive in a mobile learning environment.

The festival will start on the evening of June 17th at 6:30pm (registration opens at 4:00pm) and end on June 19th and will feature amazing speakers from all over the world, lots of live music and of course, food trailers. Please note there will be limited seating to this event and the iLead Academy.

iPadpalooza…It’s not a conference, it’s a learning festival!

Eanes ISD
Educational Technologist, Mobile Integration Specialist
Austin, TX
I began my career working for the Bethlehem Area School District in eastern Pennsylvania as a secondary mathematics teacher.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education, I taught several secondary math courses over the course of eight years.  While teaching, I also pursued two master’s degrees through Wilkes University and completed my studies in Classroom Technology, as well as earning a post-master's Instructional Technology Specialist certificate. In 2006, I moved into a new role as a Technology Integration Specialist.  I was responsible for coordinating and managing many IT related items with the goal of successfully integrating technology across secondary content areas. In March 2012, my family and I decided to move to Austin, Texas where I began a new job working for Eanes Independent School District. At Eanes ISD, I serve as the district EdTech Coordinator focusing on our mobile technology initiatives. Currently, our district is in a 1:1 iPad initiative for all of our K-12 students and staff. Other than working for Eanes ISD, I accept several opportunities a year to train educational staff from various school districts across the nation, providing professional development workshops on specific mobile technology.
